Background: Luzon Development Bank

Background Information on Luzon Development Bank in case you want to purchase one of their Acquired Assets

A group of people from the provinces of Laguna & Batangas, desirous to promote country-side banking in Laguna, organized the Laguna Development Bank on May 8, 1961. LDB began operations with nine employees and a paid-up capital of P1.0M.

In 1975, Management decided to change the name Laguna Development Bank to Luzon Development Bank because the Board of Directors’ vision foresaw the broadness of the Bank’s service capability beyond the boundaries of the Laguna Province to a wider area of Luzon. To date, the Bank has expanded to 35 branches in the developing CALABARZON Area.

The current development in the financial community has marked the strengths of LDB which are expected to shield it from the prevailing crisis. LDB is one of the thrift banks which are way beyond the minimum capital requirements of BSP, making it CALABARZON’s Biggest.

Its stockholders and officers are conservative bankers and its management team is composed of knowledgeable bankers with long years of banking experience and integrity. Having this competitive advantage, Luzon Development Bank has maintained its position in Regional Banking. To sustain this, LDB continues to upgrade its facilities as it focuses on product innovation, effective management, intensive human resources development & personalized costumer service. All this is being done in the bank’s pursuit of meeting the demands of the community it serves.
